Celebration of Monte’s Life will be held at 10:30am Friday March 2, 2018 at White Oak Church rural Oblong, IL. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery

Visitation will be held form 4:00 – 7:00pm Thursday March 1, 2018 at Pulliam Funeral Home Oblong, IL.

Monte D. Bradbury, 70, of Oblong, IL passed away on Sunday February 25, 2018 at Vitas Hospice Broward Health North Deerfield Beach, FL.

He was born in Olney, IL on September 6, 1947 to Eugene Bradbury and Lois Fern (Farley) Bradbury.  On June 3, 1992 he married Sherry Marie Lamb who survives.

Monte worked at the Marathon Refinery in Robinson, IL, for 36 years as a Chief Operator, retiring in 2007.  He raised and trained horses for many years as well as mowed several area cemeteries. He had served in the United States Air Force.  He was a member and deacon of the White Oak Church. He graduated with the Oblong High School class of 1966.  He is a former member of the Robinson Saddle Club. Monte was very active in the activities at White Oak Church. Monte enjoyed  time he spent with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Sherry Bradbury, Oblong, IL; four sons Monte “Sunny” Bradbury and wife Crystal, Brandon Bradbury, Bryce Bradbury all of Robinson, IL, Dallas Bradbury, Oblong, IL; three daughters Angela York, Woodland Park, CO, Jodi and Dion Cole  Greenfield, IL, Jamee and Zack Tuttle, Robinson, IL; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters Sue Walker, Newton, IL, Donna and Glen Rosbourgh, Oblong, IL and Roberta and Richard Ridlen, Oblong, IL.

Monte was preceded in death by his parents.
